Fresh Water Fish Harvesting Awareness Campaign
First time in the history of Goa, Dept. of Fisheries and Fisher Boys Corjem organized a joint function on the day of the harvesting of the Fresh water fish at Maitollem, near Carmel Chapel Curtorim. The Organizer Mr. Rui Menezes who does the auction of fishing rights of the lake for the last 15 years was instrumental in organizing this function.

Miss Lianne Secured 100/100 in Science
for the First time in the history of Curtorim, Miss Lianne Secured 100/100 in Science (highest in Goa for March 2010) and 99/100 in Mathematics (again Highest in Goa March 2010). Miss Lianne Mearle Moniz secured 92% Overall percentage in SSCE board exams March 2010 from Our Lady of Carmel High School, Carminagar, Curtorim. The other toppers were Miss Crisha Diniz, Miss Reema Mascarenhas and Miss Yogita Gawas.

KSEB Kerala CHAMPIONS at 2nd Wilred Leisure All India Volleyball Tournament
organized by Wilred Leisure Sports Club, Curtorim at St. Alex Church Grounds Curtorim. Watched and cheered by a voiceforous and sporting crowd of around 3500 volleyball fans both teams started well in the first set with 10 all. Then it was the best attacker of the tournament Najib of Kseb with some brilliant spiking took the game away form ICF and the first set folded at 25-12

Carnival celebrated with gaiety in Curtorim
Curtorim Cultural Committee organized their 4th Carnival Programme on the 15th and 16th of February 2010 at Curtorim.
The carnival programmes culminated on the 16 February 2010 with the Grand Carnival Float Parade from Maina Church Ground to Curtorim Market Square. Mr. Polly Fernandes was the King Momo for the Float Parade.
