Carnival celebrated with gaiety in Curtorim

Curtorim Cultural Committee organized their 4th Carnival Programme on the 15th and 16th of February 2010 at Curtorim. Mr. Reginaldo Lourenco, MLA and Patron member of the Curtorim Cultural Committee was instrumental in getting sponsorship from Department of Art and Culture and the Department of Tourism.

Mr. Alcino D’Silva the President of the organising committee along with his team toiled hard to organize a successful carnival this year.

The carnival program culminated on the 16 February 2010 with the Grand Carnival Float Parade from Maina Church Ground to Curtorim Market Square. Mr. Polly Fernandes from Pequeno Rumbordem came all the way from Doha Qatar where he is presently working, to be the King Momo for the Float Parade.
